13 bowlers turned out this week, making 3 teams of 3 and a 4some.

Lane 20 pretty much walked it this week with a really good 2,641 total

(including the phantom 4th bowler) with Tip +62, Michael +48 and Steve J +71.

A good team effort with all players well over handicap taking the first, and only

prize of B480.

A long way behind in second place but with some decent bowling and a 2,398 total

was lane 22. John V +7, Lennart -40 and John X +32.

High scores prizes of B60 were, game 1, RJ with 256. Game 2 was Steve J with 244 and game 3,

John V with 228.

Other high rollers this week were Surachot +30 and John P +5.

Had more than the usual mechanical problems this week but with a bit of

frustrated patience, we all finished in one piece, in the end.

Bowling 19 October 2011

A nice crew of 18 bowlers today allowed 6 teams of 3 and a second prize.
The first prize B600 went to the team on L21: Phil.W +72, David.S +77 and Tip +31 Final total calculated to 2640 when adding a phantom 4th player.
A paltry B120 second prize was shared by Lennart -45 , Ron +115 wow! and Stewart +22.
Other achievers over the 3 games this week were Phyllis +42, Michael +9 and Corky +5.
It was a family affair in the High scores with Phyllis (Game 1: 214) and Sherman (Game 3: 235). David S (Game 2: 248) Each pocketing B80.
Lane 23 had problems with ball return all day which slowed the play for everyone. We had fun and will do it again next week. Ciao.

Four teams of four, one was the dream team, all the Johns. (yes, it was rigged)
It turns out they were just the dreamers, They placed 3rd.
In first on Lane 23 was Gary W +52, Lennart +26, Jack(new) +37 and Phyllis +5.
Jack played with our fledgling league back in the days before we kept records, welcome back.
High Scorers Mark 247, Gary 253 and RJ 248.
Bowling a great series outside the winning team were RJ +80, John V +54, John F +33, and Mark +38.
Gary W and John V have both been lowering their handicaps steadily over the past month, bit by bit.

Bowling 5 October, 2011

20 bowlers this week, teams of 4 all round.
The winners on lane 20 were Stewart-20, Ben+51, Sherman-11 and Noi+50, The girls did all the scoring.
On lane 23 only eight pins behind were Corky-43, Gary W+24, John V+91 (wow!) and Mark +0
No-one else was really under notice of the nasty handicapper... Steve J +11 and John X +5 just cleared par.
Lennart's newest handicap was almost into single figures at the start of the day,
this week he was so far off par it looked more like the current stock market!
On a good note the weeks high scorer moneybags were John X in Game one: 226, and John V the other two with a pair of 234's.
As usual if everyone paid to be in the high score the winners would have been slightly different...
