Bowling 30 March

Only 14 bowlers this week 2 teams of 4 and 2 teams of 3. Welcome back Surachot after his foot surgery, as expected he was off his game somewhat. Congratulations to lane 14 Rex +62, H -23 with John V +41. John V also made high score with a 244(205). The machines continued to cause a few headaches today and the staff were not very helpful. Les struggled to live up to his 42 handicap but RJ +66, Jo/John.F +24, Stew/Mike B +26 all improved. With a little coaching Tony found his rythm watch out for improvement over the coming weeks. Bowling Wed 23 March

17 bowlers this week, 2 fours and 3 threes.
Red-Head Bill is heading back to Canada to work but will return.
Lane 10 shared the B600 first prize this week, John V +28, Tony +9 and Steve J +97.
The High Score prize B80 went to RJ (188) 253....including 5 X's in a row.
Rex +65, Fon +50, Les +24, Mike B +34 all did well this week and a couple of low handicap lads had shockers!. See you all next week for another round of ten pin.

Bowling Wed 16 March

15 bowlers this week... 5 teams of three.
The cold and rain kept the softies away this week. The tough ones dragged their aching bones in for a fun afternoon of ten-pin. Due to a cash carry over we had a very healthy prize pool.
The winners were on lucky lane 11 with 2017 pins: John V +35, Bill +113 and RJ +69. They just kept firing all afternoon. John V had a very good last game 253(209) to seal the deal.
Lane 12 took second, Les +38, Ta +48 and Mike B +6. High Score went to Phil W 263(184).
Good bowling from Sherman +37 and Steve J +59.

Bowling 9 March

19 Bowlers today, a few impressive scores despite most teams struggling to make Par. We welcomed back Ta after 2 years away, She previously bowled as Noi II (don't ask!) on a 80 handicap. Another new bowler, "John" dropped by.. his bowling name will be JR. He says he struggles to make 110 but he outdid himself by 41 pins, it must be the company. The winners on lane 12 on 2473 pins were Les (again!) +92, John V +11, Pogo +41 and John F -71. Two of this team took off before the payout so there's a juicy carry-over for next week. Second prize was awarded to Tip +30, Paul +4, Michael -19 and Jacob -42 with 2401 pins. Good scores from Ta +77, Steve J +56, Stewart +39 (including a natural 235), Bill +48. I have to mention our latest low handicap player hit the wall this week, a sad -125. Thanks everyone, see you next week for the bonus prize.

Bowling 2 Mar

Only 16 players today, 4 teams of 4. Winner takes all.

The lanes were playing up badly today, balls stuck, dropping pins. The centre was understaffed too. With UFO Bowl closing down on Monday we hope Lanna can remain open. There was a new player today Rob.B, he hadn't bowled for some time but seemed to enjoy the day.

Lane 14 were the winners, 2533 pins. David L +114, Rob B +53, John F -17 and Michael -17.David L grabbed the High score prize with his last game 226(268). He now has the lowest handicap: 23.Nice games from Sherman +55 and Tip +40.
