Have just been informed that Lanna Bowl will be closed for renovations/repairs from 5th June to 5th July 2012

11 bowlers this week at Lanna. Team of Noi -58, Sherman +26, Michael +77 and RJ -43 making up the winning team with a scraper 2,402 pin total. High score games 1 and 3 to Michael with Steve J taking 2nd. Mega mechanical problems again. Will it ever improve? Who knows. We can but live in hope.........see you next time!

Eight bowlers today two teams of four

Lane 18 won all 3 games. John Q +55, Stewart +109, Sherman -62 and Phyllis +49 shared 320 Bhat

Stewart 2 and Phyllis took the high scores.

There were a few lane problems again but the die-hards remain strong.

11 again this week turned up in the heat at Lanna. A very warm (no pun intended) welcome back to 7 non-regulars. And i mean that most sincerely folks. Without these people, we would have had 1 team of 4. Or 4 teams of 1! So thank you Garry, H, Aree, Ecker, John Q, Daniel and David L.......i think worth a mention. The winning team from start to finish consisted of David L +72, Michael +10, Steve J -33 and John V +12 and a 2,459 pin total. I'm convinced that the heat makes for more mechanical problems, which were a tad more than usual, so not too long before that gets, at least a bit better. High score winners.....David L, 257. Aree, 229 and yours truely (Michael) 224. Apart from the afor-mentioned, other over par bowlers........RJ +1, Garry +12 and Ecker +12. Well played everyone........hope to see you all again soon. Legs eleven bowlers at Lanna this week, so 2 teams of 4 and 1 of 2. Some good bowling, and some not so good. Thats life i guess, and also a lack of oil on some lanes! RJ +2, Wandee +13 and Sherman +66 making up the winning team with 2,515 pin total. High scores, game 1, Wandee 211. Game 2, Sherman 271 and game 3, RJ 230. Thats right!.......the winning team also cleaned up on high scores! Oh well......there's always next week. Chris (welcome back!) +54 and John V +37 were also over par players. Sorry, no photo this week, but join us soon for more bowling fun at Lanna...........

Nine hardy bowlers at Lanna this week, making an easy 3 of 3. A comfortable win, from start to finish, for lane 15 with a very good 1,929 pin total. Sherman +21, Wandee +52 and John X +56 making up that team. Wandee, John X and RJ picked up the respective high score game prizes. Other over-par bowlers.....John V +14, Steve J +7 and Tip +20. So not a bad days bowling. Mechanical problems?.......well, i've witnessed worse. Nuff said.............But, as per usual, still had fun at Lanna!............Thanks everyone. See you next time.

9 bowlers this week at Lanna, making an easy 3 teams of 3. Lane 17 won the day from start to finish with a respectable 1,963 pins and all 3 team members over handicap in all games. John X +59, Michael +43 and Steve +61 made up that team. Usually, the winning team will have at least 1 member taking at least 1 high score prize. Not today! Lennart took the first game with 238. Wandee, second game, 222 and Sherman, third game and 240. So much for statistics eh? Mechanical problems not so bad this week and with a few more other customers around, adding to the atmosphere, another good week at Lanna. Well played everyone. See you next time............
