Bowling 30th June

5 teams of 3 this week. We missed quite a few of the regulars but the bowling was fast and fun. Lanes 12 and 14 battled out for the prizemoney with 14 winning. Jo, Les and Tim walked off with 140B each.

Poung, John B and Surachot took second and shared a 120B pot.Two standout bowlers: Tim scored 5 strikes in a row and John B bettered that with 6.Quite an entertaining exhibition.

Tim's handicap has gone from 82 to 65 in one week (212/294 in one game, ooh ahh)
and John B changed from 48 to 38. (bowling a 217/265 in one game) There were a few who's handicap went the opposite direction big time but no names mentioned.

Thank you all, see you Wednesday

BOWLING 16th JUNE

Stewart having a rest this week to watch Aussie Rugby instead. So Les back in the chair.

Acker and his girlfriend Arde came along for first time since last Dec.

1st round saw scores of 734 – 749 – 744 – 681 – 694 and 781 all below the handicap mark of 800. But then there was Rex, Dennis H, Jo and Dan on lane 13 with 868. Looked like the horse had bolted.

However in the next two games John B, Tim, & C.T. on lane 9 hit their straps with scores of 823 & 863 while Rex’s mob could only come up with 782 & 773. So in the end lane 9 beat lane 13 by 12 pins

High score was Tim with 241, well done.

Not many big handicap movers this week. Ben has snuck out from 48 to 56 and Surachot from 40 to 52 would be a good one to have in your team next game.

Back to Stewart next Wed.

Bowling 9/6/2010

Firstly a new bowler from Oz, Peter G, informed the handicapper he hadn't bowled for over 10 years, his practice game was 120 so, he copped a generous 80 pin handicap, it wasn't needed...he bowled very well, no rust.167, 176 and 168 Scratch! He took the high score prize, well done mate.

The day was down to 3 teams, Lanes 8,10 and 11 were locked in a tight battle,
no-one could predict if a team of three or four would win, so the prizemoney was undecided.

Out of the blue, came lane 7 and stole the cookie jar.Congratulations Gary L, John B, Ning and John V. (their third game was a whopping 908).Second place prize went to Peter G, Corky and JJ. Lane 10 needed a spare on their last frame to get second place but the pressure of the crowd proved too much. All in all a very enjoyable afternoons exercise.

See your happy faces again next week.
